Isaac Brach MS, LMHC, CASAC, CH

Mr. Brach earned his BA in psychology from Touro College and his MS in Mental Health from Long Island University. He was granted his license to practice as Mental Health Counselor from The University of the State of New York, his license to practice as an Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor from OASAS and certification as a Hypnotherapist from the National Guild of Hypnotists. Mr. Brach has received additional, specialized training in Evidence-Based Trauma Treatments & Interventions, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) from Roy Kiessling and Marriage Education and Divorce Prevention from the Robbins- Madanes Center for Strategic Intervention. Finally Mr. Brach is an accomplished Martial Artist and has developed the Cognitive Combat Therapy system.

Prior to establishing his private practice in Brooklyn, Mr. Brach had owned and operated a construction business where he specialized in Framing and Custom Cabinetry for over 27 years. In 2005 he expanded to Real Estate Acquisitions and Development. In 2010, after being involved in community projects, Mr. Brach reentered the halls of academia to study for his degree in mental health and went on to intern at Family Crisis Intervention Unit, Guardians of the Sick, Interborough Developmental and Consultation Center, and finally at the LSA Recovery, Addiction Treatment Center, in Brooklyn NY.

Since beginning his internship, Mr. Brach has worked with a diverse population of clients, in the treatment of Anorexia Nervosa, Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Substance Abuse Disorders and comorbidities. Couples and Family counseling, Career and Life stage transition consulting. He practices multiple empirically supported treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Strategic Intervention, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Family Systems Therapy and Parent Management Training.

Working from a culturally-sensitive and evidence-based framework, Mr. Brach specializes in the treatment of Addictions, Anxiety, Developmental Trauma, Personality Disorder and assists with Self-awareness, Emotion Regulation, Life Stage Transitioning, Marital and Premarital, Relationship Remediation, and Smoking Cessation. He treats adolescents and adults in individual, couples, family and group therapy formats.

Mr. Brach blends the academic training received at Long Island University with years of experience in the Eastern Practices and Philosophies, to offer a unique therapeutic experience. Additionally, he incorporates life experience, a background in business, real estate and development to afford clients with practical solutions. He does so with empathy, warmth, and authenticity, creating a safe space for growth and exploration.

Mr. Brach continues his volunteer work in the community and is currently on the planning board of Yeoded, a non-profit organization that serves over 600 orphans or other children from single parent homes by providing them with mentors, tutors and other services. With his direction Yeoded is now expanding its services to include temporary boarding for those children in need.
